Use Withdraw to send funds to another wallet, or Cancel my allocation to stop using Mentat. \ **How do I add new TAO to Mentat?**\ Send TAO to the wallet connected to Mentat. It is invested automatically within 24 hours, following your current allocation, subnets included. **What are Mentat's fees?**\ Mentat takes a 9% fee on staking rewards, and charges no fee on deposits, withdrawals or gains. Network transaction fees are paid on-chain from your free TAO. To put it simply, if a portfolio of 10 TAO earns 1 TAO from staking, Mentat will take 9% of that earned TAO, or 0.09 TAO. **Is there a minimum requirement for using Mentat?**\ Yes. The minimum depends on what you select. On top of the amount you invest, plan for 0.093 TAO reserved for the proxy and 0.35 TAO kept free to cover transaction fees. **Why do I have 0.093 “Reserved” TAO?**\ This is a portion of your TAOs that is necessary for the [proxy](/mentat/security/what-makes-mentat-secure.md) to function. These TAOs are not working but will be returned to you if you decide to revoke it. **Why do I have 0.35 “free” TAO?**\ These are TAO that are not staked. They are used to cover all transaction fees. **Do I need to claim my root rewards?**\ Yes. Since Bittensor's Root Reborn update, root rewards build up until you claim them instead of being added to your stake automatically. Click Claim rewards on your Portfolio page and approve in your wallet: your rewards are restaked on Root. **How do I change my strategy?**\ On One-Click Strategies, revoke your current strategy first, then choose a new one. On Invest, simply confirm a new allocation: it replaces the previous one. **What is the “Remark” when I sign into my wallet?**\ It's an encrypted message added by Mentat in the remark field of a transaction, allowing the platform to internally track details like partner, allocation, or the wallet's DCA strategy, while keeping this information confidential and inaccessible to external users. \ **I need more help.
